Social Awareness Campaign: Our President.
The goal was to raise social awareness through the use of the agitprop approach. The target audience is composed of revolution-concerned American voters, and the competition is solely their ignorance. I envisioned these pieces to mimic a guerrilla campaign, a radical change in the expression of guerrilla activity that lends a hand in the reformation of social change. The objective was to develop a series of posters that conveys the comparative evils of George W. Bush, Joseph Stalin and Adolph Hitler, utilizing Russian constructivism and German expressionist attributes. The work was completed while attending graduate school for a course entitled Social Awareness in Graphic Design; 23 X 30 Large-scale format print 2005.
*Update: The work entitled “Our President” became the focal work for my first art exhibition. The event was held March 26th 2010 at the Desoto Row Gallery in Savannah Georgia.
